CHIRON MUSINGS 2
Chiron can be seen in an astrology chart as this “k” symbol, but it is not seen in a Human Design Bodygraph? Why is that? First, the 2 sets of 13 numbers, known as the red and the black, are planetary activations that imprint onto your chart. The black calculation shows those planetary activations at the time you are born, while the red calculation is at the end of the second trimester, roughly 3 months before you are born. What makes everyone different are the variances in these planetary activations that show you have a different bodygraph to the next person. Again, Chiron is noticeably absent. It is not a planet but an asteroid that orbits in the outer regions of our solar system, coming only as close between Saturn and Jupiter before heading back out again. In Human Design, we speak of 3 stages of spiritual maturation that we all go through. Saturn Return happens around 29-30 years of age, Uranus Opposition between 40-44 years and finally Chiron Returns around 49-50 years. So, Chiron is that final stage that essentially ends our apprenticeship in this life and is the time to start living as your true nature. It is called the “flowering stage” as it is your last chance to blossom, to really start living the true authentic you which can only happen if your truly face your shadow and childhood wounds without fear. It is a healing of the wounds of the spirit, that become noticeable as a maturity in the way your Personality expresses itself objectively. I had spoken briefly about this is the previous post. It is a stage that as you enter into your 50’s, not only is the quality of relationships important in your life but also it is time to put yourself first. To follow your passions, what you love, what your heart is in so that it is nourishing for your spirit. You then experience more satisfaction, peace, success in your life. Sounds great, doesn’t it? However, this is why Chiron is not in the Bodygraph. See your Bodygraph, like your astrology chart, shows you what you have come here to work on. The Bodygraph helps to identify your shadow and the mental attitudes that arise if you let your mind run your life and do not trust the feelings of your body when it comes to making decisions. It essentially is a map of your human psyche. The Bodygraph is not the true-Self, it is a map to the true-Self only if you operate correctly. Since the mind is heavily conditioned by external influences and conditioning, the mind often takes charge of circumstances out of fear. It can lock you into the mundane material plane, all for security and stability, as you go about trying to achieve goals that are not in alignment with your true nature. If you continue this pathway beyond Chiron, then by the age of about 59 (second Saturn return), one can start to experience more physical deterioration and disease in the body. Saturn is to do with the limitations and acceptance of them within the physical body. When you operate correctly, in alignment with your nature, you become the elder and not just old. It takes a few years to integrate the lessons of Chiron into your 50’s that can be challenging, it is not an immediate process. So since not everyone has the courage and awareness to take responsibility for their own lives, to work on their trauma, Chiron is seen only as a potential. It is not a guarantee that you will flower in this life. Many do not live out their years as themselves but still a person bound to conventionalism of duty, what they should and have to do in order to keep the peace and harmony. This ultimately creates feelings of frustration, bitterness, resentment and anger as the spirit is not matured enough to heal itself and to love and be proud of the individual you are. This is why Chiron is not seen in your Bodygraph, it is only a potential.
